The FOUNDATION FOR THE EDUCATION
OF RURAL CHILDREN (FERC )
The Foundation for the Education of Rural Children, FERC is based in Chiang Mai, Thailand. It is a nonprofit organization, registered in Thailand and the USA.
Its primary objectives are:
• To support education for rural Thai and tribal communities children in the North of Thailand.
• To provide access to education through scholarships.
FERC’s main activities are dedicated to fund-raising and managing an active and growing scholarship program for children in the final 3 years of high school. Scholarship ceremonies are held twice a year
Trinity supports FERC in a number of ways:
• By providing a high value prize for raffles at Search Associates Job Fairs. This year's raffle in January and March raised over 114,000 baht.
That is enough for almost 9 scholarship years or three full 3 year scholarships!
• By directly sponsoring students for a full 3 year 30,000 baht scholarship.
Our current student, Nam, is a hard worker (GPA 3.95!) and hopes to go on to Business Administration studies. Nam and her siblings live with their aunt. Her father has passed away and her mother works in Bangkok to provide income and support for her family.

Foundation to the Encourage the Potential of Disabled Persons, Thailand
Help Our Building Project!
The Foundation is legally registered in Thailand as a non-profit charity. Founded in 1993 to “promote the health, education, employment and human dignity of disabled persons of north Thailand.” It provides free services to poor and needy disabled persons & their families across six northern provinces of Thailand - providing free wheelchairs, mobility aids, home visits, residential care and compassionate love.
After many years we are building a purpose-built facility The justification for this project is a critical part of our ongoing overhead reduction or “sustainability goal”which began several years ago after we closed our former wheelchair production and dramatically increased our wheelchair distribution via overseas donated wheelchairs, Our new office space will be located on our own land, and although small, will be adequate to our needs bearing in mind that our adjacent home already includes accessible toilets, water, kitchen, workshop, car-parking, and overnight visitor guest rooms only a few meters away…facilities which have already been in regular use by the foundation for several years.
